David, a very nice build…
Looks just like the “real” one…nice job!
Nice work. Now you’ll need snow so you can get some use out of it.
Wow, that really turned out nice. I like the plow blade. And that headlight assembly is sharp. Did you have any issues bending the blade on the plow?
Thanks for the kind comments chaps.
No Bruce I cheated a bit.The horizontal wedge was made of four bits of brass two upper pieces, one forward piece and a wrap around for the front edge, rivets embossed and made of pins which hold it to the frame.
The upright wedge was mocked up in card stock to get the angles and curved front right before replicating it in brass, the bottom edge curved by hand and the two bits soldered. This assembly was then soldered to the bottom and the joint rounded and smoothed using body putty.
I am pleased with the headlight but it did involve a lot of work and singed fingers.

David

Well done David!!
Now we need to see pics of the whole plow train!
Have some fun with it !

David, your plow is awsome! Who cares if the smoke stack is on the wrong side no one will ever notice if you don’t tell them. You definately belong with this group of modelers on this site.
