Nancy came by to do a thorough pruning.
Before:
After:
Lemon cypress got reduced by 2+ feet and the trunks are now more prototypically thick.
Whole railroad got a haircut. Coolio!
Jim, the RR landscape has matured quite nicely. Nancy did a great job with the pruning. Looks like the RR was built through the timber which I’m sure is what you and Nancy were after. Thanks for sharing.
Jim
Ive recently discovered a plant that I have struggled to grow in a pot has gone gangbusters on the railroad. I thought the main problem would be keeping things alive.
I just bookmarked your post, and am wondering how the garden is going 3 years later? What would you NOT plant again?
Going great. I am shocked that I haven’t killed it all. Got rid of one kind of ground cover. Lost one tree and a couple of succulents to frost.
I can’t remember the names of plants, sorry. I would have to go back and reread this topic to know what I have.
As of last July the J&D looked awesome! I only wish I wasn’t on the bus and could have stayed longer to look and talk to Jim!
