Ok, left to right, back row:

Me, Jane Clarke, Dave Marconi(in glasses), Rooster(Dave Russeli, behind Dave is his ex-wife).

Second row, L-R:

Andy Clarke, Daktah John(aka Jon Radder), Ric Golding, Ralph Berg.

Front Row L_R:

Zach Russell, Jan Golding.

Thank you Ken, I have embedded the names into the photo.

It made me think of something funny… when I was very new to the hobby and at the Queen Mary show, I saw a group of people at a booth, believe it was Jon in the LSC booth outside, and I confused Jon of LSC with Jon of LSOL… needless to say I got a somewhat sharp rebuke!

Years later I understand why.

I think these are the facts, but I won’t swear to them!

Greg

Geez Greg, That confusion alone would have been enough for me to start using my alias !

Maybe it was not you, did you ever go to the QM show?

It was funny, since I kind of had no idea about some of the animosity between forums.

After fighting with a particular moderator on MLS, and being kicked off LSOL because they did not like my review on my web site, I have a better handle on “politics”.

For those of us on the left coast who have never been graced with the physical presence of this elite group, could someone provide a name key to the photo?

Why is that man standing in the corner at the extreme right hand side of the photo? Did he do something wrong? Did he demonstrate poor train open house etiquette? Wait… maybe he is taking a whiz on the fence? Didn’t Rooster provide restrooms for his guests? Now that’s poor etiquette.

I believe the outhouse was in need of repair at the time, so that corner was the designated “restroom”…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

As of now I use snapfish for my photos. I know that might not be around forever so I either get prints made up (old school) or you can create photo books, soft and hard cover. Ill take my favorite photos and create books. Im also old school and prefer things non digital. I also use my FB train page for photos as a backup. This allows me to just copy and paste the photo on any forums etc… and also backup all my photos to a CD. I have just learned to never get too attached to my photos.

That’s the best advice I’ve seen in this thread! (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

YES ! (Ken is incorrect on this one)

He is having a “time out” for being naughty

Editing to note the hands in his pockets (once again because he was naughty and needed a time out like Rooster does on occasion)

This Photobucket blackmail scheme has really F’d up the internet. I was working on my car the last few weeks and all of the how-to threads on what I was doing had the Photobucket error screen instead of the photos. They are complete A-holes.

I am very attached to my photos. I host them at paid web space and keep everything on several hard drives (some external) on several PCs. Never trust the cloud. Clouds dry up and blow away.

Saw this on the other site. I don’t use photobucket, but this might help some of you.

Good luck, we’re all counting on you.

Kevin, would be a good thing to check the link… it’s no longer working (the link to the plugin).

I was about to post that Photobucket would go nuts on Google for posting a workaround… but I see that already happened. Since you are breaking the agreement with photobucket, you could be prosecuted. Such a workaround would never last long, but the evidence is there.

Even if the workaround lasted a bit longer, Photobucket would find a way to make the plugin not work.

Greg

so, ah, um, Photobucket is intent on killing itself?

Greg

Sorry. Just trying to be helpful. I can’t check the link hourly, but thanks for the additional information, Greg. -Kevin.

Yeah, that method is pretty kaput now… unfortunately the drive to make $$ at PhotoBucket is very much at odds to someone bypassing their “security”.

Kevin:

I posted so that people would not bash their heads against a wall in the false hope to get the posting functionality back, so people would not waste their time, not to cast aspersions.
