Man, you guys lost me with all that tech talk. Thanks Jim and Greg for posting that pic of one of my carriers. The carriers are all the same except for the size. They are custom made to fit every engine size.

Video Embedding
This topic has to be re-mastered every time the site owner makes an upgrade to the software. For this incarnation the procedure is…
Grab the embed code from the YouTube video (directly on the video) right click in OPERA (copy embed code); right click in FireFox (Copy embed code); right click in Chrome (get embed code);right click in IE (get embed code).
In the reply window click on “insert/edit video” button in the top row (looks like a movie frame), and select “Embed”.
Paste the embed code (copied from YouTube) in the box and click “OK”.
That’s what we all found works now. Some day down the road we will have to find a new way for new software, but for now this works. Have fun!
Photo inserting
- Start by uploading your photos to a server. You have storage space in the Freight Shed on this web site.
- After they are uploaded, click on the file you want to open.
- Once it is opened, RIGHT click on the picture and select copy image location. DO NOT use the url in the address bar of your browser.
- Next click on the insert photo button in your post and paste the image location in the source line.
- Look at the dimensions. You will see them if you click on the first box (height). Make it 800 then click on the second box and it will automatically be correctly scaled.
- Then hit OK and your photo will be in your post.
Joe, when I right click on the image, I don’t get the option to “copy image location“. OS is windows 10
Jim,
I see your problem. Win 10 you are probably using Edge as your browser.
I see it’s a little different to get the proper URL.
- Right click on the picture and select “Ask Cortana” and a side window will appear.
- Click on the highlighted link (see full size picture) and a new tab will open with the picture.
- The URL in this tab is the correct location of the picture and can be inserted in your post. HTH
Thanks again Joe.

It seems Mac users (like me) have a much better success storing pictures in an Album
here on LSC, instead of freight sheds.
John, I tried both ways with the iMac, I gave up and with Joe’s help, used the HP.
I gave up long ago on the picture hosting provided with forums, as I ran into similar problems. I pay for my storage along with my web site, and don’t have any issues.
When you get something “free”, it seems that there are always changes (usually motivated by making money) that come that make one method stop working and require a new one.
With all these different “procedures”, I “teach” to just get a URL that works in a browser, and then use that. Sometimes understanding the fundamental process allows you to adapt to the never-ending changes yourself. (of course most people don’t want to be bothered, “just tell me how”)
Just my opinion.

You are 100% correct! (https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
Why thanks Joe, I’ll take that as a compliment as you are the guy who seems to always figure out this stuff, many times I have given up trying to “fix” someone’s picture or video posting, only to see that you have figured it out!
I feel that the “posting friendliness” of this site’s software could be better, but it is what it is. I have a much easier time on the GScaleCentral software for some reason.
