Ozark Minatures

Just to clear it up. I wasnt complaining. I was more concerned that they had gone out of business or something like that.

As an update, i got ahold of them this afternoon and I have to say that I had a fright at first when they answered the phone. Their pet Parrot was testing his lungs! I had a good laugh with the gentleman (cant remember his name). They were not aware of the problem on the internet site and said they would get it fixed. I checked at home this weekend just to be sure it wasnt my computer and I got the same error message.

Just to be clear, you can see thier selection and place stuff in the “cart” Its when you try to checkout that I was getting the error.

As a Mom and Pop business owner myself I can understand misunderstandings. I hope they, Ozark, are doing just fine.

I hope everything is ok. I haven’t talked to Dave in awhile.

I sent an e-mail on October 14th. Resent it a week later on the 22nd. No response of any kind. I’m beginning to worry.

I just received an order from them last week. I doubt anythings wrong. Try calling.

I talked to Dave yesterday and he explaine the situation I was running into. I guess it had to do with an upgrade to their accounting system, that was tied into the website ordering system. It was suppose to be something to make thing simpler for them and it turned into a hassel.

Got a phone call from him today. Learned about the accounting issue Jake describes, and a minor e-mail answering glitch that combined to make it look worse than it was. He’s there, up and running, and the website will be fixed quickly … he missed this tie order for me, but we have other projects on the list that I won’t hesitate to call him for.

Short answer is, I guess, that except for a couple of minor glitches, all is well.

The very sad part is that in today’s economy, even a non-responsible issue, like this computer glitch, can have business altering effects. Imagine if this forum hadn’t been here, word of mouth might have spread that the company was gone.

Ahhh, the good old telephone comes through again…too many people in this computor age allow themselves to depend on the Internet for all their communication. They then think that if someone, or some supplier doesn’t respond for whatever reason…that they are out of business.
The main problem is that it doesn’t end there…they start spreading a NEGATIVE word that the company is gone…and word of mouth takes over, causing our supplier to loose customers.

Please, everyone....before ever suggesting a problem exists with a supplier....use ALL forms of communication, before giving negative reports......pick up the telephone and call...or send a letter, by mail....yes you still can do that......

Speculation on any subject is not good....give full facts, or stay quiet.....

Suppliers…give your customers full use of all the communication tools, to help keep your customers “On track”
