I use an app that was offered when I first opened LSC on my phone years ago. It works fine for me. I don’t know if that’s the Discourse app BD speaks of, there is no real information on the app info page. It looks just like a browser page when open, but it’s not a browser.
Seems to work fine with safari and duck duck go on I phone XR.
Still having issues opening with chrome browser set to mobile. Found a work around, click desktop version, open to recent posts, go back to mobile version… 
I’ve been unable to open via the phone since my last post until just now. Same issue, goes to site but doesn’t fully open. Something really wonky is going on. I hope this can get resolved before the Mik, I do the majority of my visits and posting via phone.

Maybe a dumb question since it isn’t needed for me to use my phone via the app. Have you tried logging off from the desktop before trying the phone?

I’m the same way. Its a bit annoying to say the least.
I’m now finding that when I open and get the white screen, if I hit the back button, it will open the site. This is weird
I’ll have to try that method. I use dark mode so I’m getting stuck on the black screen. 
Well, it finally happened to me using the app.
Closed it and tried again, same white screen. I’m not sure if I used a back button or if I reloaded a third time, but I got it to open properly.
From what little I know about how websites work, I suspect the system is waiting and failing to load a style sheet.
My guess is some browser security updates are causing this. The site hasn’t changed in ages. I really should take the time to update to the latest version, but that comes with its own potential problems.
Using the app right now. When it first opened it was just the white screen. I went back to the main screen then back to LSC. Second time in it loaded correctly.
If this work around works for others I’d ride this horse till it collapses.
