Those planes are something. A few (alright - quite a few) years ago I lived in Wanaka where one of the locals owned one. Most weekends he went out and flew it just like it was meant to be used - free warbird show everytime he took off… I know for sure I was in his gunsights being strafed more than once, it was a very eerie feeling I can tell you.
And I’ll bet he was making machine gun noises too.
