Looking good Mike. Is this an out of work mechanic ? I don’t see a car on the lift
:)…VERY NICE! But you better fix that top cabinet(road box) on the left
A few new more colorful calenders wouldn’t hurt the walls
I think you should change the name to Dick’s Auto Electric
Did you know Dick’s Auto Electric is (or was) in Ontario?
Who the F is Dick’s Auto Electric? John, when you build them, you can name them! You are forgetting that there is the main building also. Parts and stuff. You guys didn’t notice Chop Cut Rebuild banner and picture of 1935 Ford that we build for Speed Channel TV show 5 years ago. Oh that’s right, my brother never made it down to the shop when we were going full blast. Sometimes ~ 12 cars in at a time. Nothing newer than 1972 and all Detroit Iron (and some fiberglass)!
Waiting for my box of 1/24 model car stuff. Will put together cars for the service bays then. Diecast too heavy, plus I will have parts to hang on walls, on the work bench yet to be built and my parts yard behind the main building. Then I will give John the rest of the junk so he can build Max Ricci’s Pick a Part. Long time dream of John’s. LOL!
Doug - Yes the former Dick’s Auto Electric run by Mike Rizzo, his brother and dad.
That is really a small world.
Mike’s wife, Wendy, was our receptionist at the newspaper in Ontario!
And that shop was always that neat! You could eat off the floor!
Truly. We still tease Mike to this day about parking the cars on cardboard in the shop!
So is Mike collecting g scale cardboard to park the cars on?
Some of my cars got that treatment at Dick’s. Good thing they didn’t get used to it because they never got it at home! Well, sometimes!
When I sold my GMC Jimmy, it had the collection of yellow stickers under the hood. Mike is happy, he and another guy are flipping houses these days, I almost had him talked into coming the show last weekend.
That would have been good. Did you tell him we have a G scale shop in Upland?
Great looking structure, and nice interior!
Service Bay interior DONE! Needs front signage. Started on lighting for front lot and other building.

Paint that Duster(340) brown with a black stripe down the side and it would look just like the one I used to have…
That is great work Mike. Just needs the hood up and a mechanic at work!
Gonna post the photos with the lights?
That looks awesome!
Mike
That is very nice. I like the details. I’ll agree you need to open the hood up, and some dirt on the floor
