Your right, I shouldn’t have. Not only is in not train related it is a natural hot bed topic. At the time I posted it I wasn’t even considering the political ramifications. I never meant for it to be a political debate about whether or not the Gov’t has a right to make you wear them. Mine was a concern for others like me that do not/did not wear them. My mistake, I should have seen where it was going to lead.
I have sent Bob a message to take it down. I apologize to all for starting it.
Why no seat belts? — plus a second example:
I teach at a 22,000 student college in So. Calif.
To the class: “Why would people choose not to wear seat belts?” Answer: “Because then it may happen.”
Similar response from women who refuse to carry in their purse a small canister of pepper spray on campus --especially at night: “Because then it may happen”.
Apparent presumption: Preparation is for those who will experience the event.
