Wow nice in depth review and pictures to support you comments. Sounds like the extra wait will be worth it as that have put out a quality product. Hope they keep adding to the portfolio of 1/29 locomotives
Thanks glad to do it, I was on the fence until I saw a prototype in person. The production version is even nicer. I was told by a Rep that while searching for the Dash 9 molds at the factory they also found the GP40 and E8 molds, so there’s a good chance they will come especially if the Dash 9s do well.
Well I got the new Soundtraxx TSU-4400 installed using the PNP adapter board and am happy to report All the individual lights and smoke unit are now controllable using the function keys on the handheld without any additional wiring.
Once the board manufacturers start making new PnP boards for this engine a truly fully controllable DCC installation will only take a few minutes. Bachmann has done an amazing job with this engine, can’t wait for the new GP40s and E-8s.
