I am using 0.002 Steel shim stock and the crimper handled it with no issues. Oh,it is a fi$k3r$ crimper. Sorry for the coding, but I didn‘t want to get reported to the moderator for saying Fiskars.

We have a Moderator?
Does Bob, our benevolent Dictator, know about this???
BTW, if anyone is using paint to get the galvanized look, there’s a better choice than gray primer. I use Rustoleum’s “Cold Galvanizing Compound”. It’s basically zinc in a can – powdered zinc mixed with clear acrylic. Sprays on, and looks very much like real galvanized metal. Holds up very well outdoors, too.
and i got “scolded”, when i used goldspray for weathering …
