I enjoyed it too.
But I think I would have had an extra engineer on the engine they shot out in front of the runaway.
And had him cross over from that engine, rather than try to drop him in with a helicopter
But then the movie would have been over

If you want to look at it critically, get the DVD and slo-mo through some of the more exciting scenes, like when the loco they put out front crashes and burns. It does a 360 degree roll over with no damage to the cab :o And when 777 blasts through that steel box car it just disintegrates into so many wood scraps - no frame or trucks left behind and it hardly bends a handrail on 777 :o :o And that boxcar had itās tucks completely off the rails just before impact. Thereās plenty more, but no point in detailing it all.
Realism rating: 2 out of 10 / Entertainment rating: 7 out of 10 - I rated it Really Like on Netflix and saw it 3 times. Once in theater and twice on DVD.
YMMV
I thought it was a documentary, filmed as it actually happened.
Another oneā¦ if you watch teh front of the lead runaway unit, keep a tab on the ditchlightsā¦ for one half of the chase, the engineerās light is dark. Then, miraculiously, the engineerās light starts working while the other one goes deadā¦ must be a short.
Alsoā¦ there are two units in the lead consistā¦ WHY do they ALWAYS try to get to the steps on the front of the lead engine??? Donāt they realize you can walk from unit to unit and all the way around them?
I passed up a chance to see it, went to work instead.
Hollywood donāt know that, and besides what kind of movie would that be?
