Locomotive color schemes

Definite improvement!

I agree the black really makes a difference. Now just weather the hell out of it. Lots of rust.

No, no no!!! This is a tourist railroad. Everything (well almost everything) should be bright and shiny :)

I’ve added some stripes to the hood front and the black roof to my Photoshop test bed. Not sure about the stripes, but the roof for sure.

Lol I forgot it was a tourist line.

why are all post postes double posts??? They were not like that before now everything is double Ugh…

It was doing that to Andy the other day…

Apparently so has railroad management since there is only a caboose for the carrying of passengers.

Personally I like the flat black and then hose it down with Dullcote…but, then again, mine isn’t a tourist line…yet…

It will become an extension of the Kittatinny Mt RR before a tourist line

Tell'em to make an offer.............;)

Did a little more messing around in Photoshop the other evening when it was raining. Here is a proposal for the hood tops, roof tops & deck. I’m not sure about the white stripe. If it was very thin, maybe. I’m also thinking the ladders would be black keeping the yellow step edges and probably add the yellow edges to M-10. As-Is (before)…

Proposed (after)…

I might do the roof & hood tops soon as it would not require any dis-assembly, but I’d need to tear it down again to do the deck and pilot.

Jon,
I don’t like the white stripe. It draws your attention to that point, but looks out of place.
If you really want a stripe there, try it in gold.
Ralph

OK Ralph. Just for you…
