Back then you had to keep fiddlin with the little color adjustment knobs so the people didn't look green or purple.
Heh.
I really AM too old to remember most of them … though some were still the fare of “afternoon kids TV” when I was a tiny kid. I can remember Batman (a la Adam West) followed by the George Reeves Superman, and the Lone Ranger, the latter two still in Black and White … followed by Star Trek, which wasn’t. But, by then, they were all syndicated reruns… though Captain Kangaroo was still making programs, and Mister Rogers still had black hair (and a larger than large scale trolley…) and “The Electric Company” was the home of new actors like Morgan Freeman and other notables…
I think the “New” shows when I was a kid begging to stay up late enough to watch were “Emergency” (y’know, Johnny and Roy?) “ChiPs” and “Salty the Seal” … as well as “Chopper One” … but I was NOT allowed to watch “Kojak,” “The Hulk,” or “The Nightstalker” because they were too late, and too scary!
Old enough to be left to my own devices once a week, I can remember watching “The Fall Guy” “Riptide” and “The Greatest American Hero” … but now we’re talking early 80’s which really brings me in at the tail end of this progression!
Thanks for this … I was really beginning to feel OLD this New Year’s … not anymore!

I went through all of that (great stuff) and they didn’t show one picture or the theme from “The Andy Griffith Show”???
well…
