They cancelled the Purple Heart Reunion in Branson till next year. Which would have been next weekend.
Gee you posted the picture! I donāt have a clue how you do that! Neat, huh? It happened in Texas, 19th century sometime. Iāve had similar situations on my railroad. I can hardly wait to operate on yours !!!
No doubt the guys in the middle are swapping insurance information.
And the pun for the day is: That photo was sponsored by the Cornfield Meat Company, processors of fine hogs (but sometimes the hoggers and ashcats donāt fare so well).

Naaahhā¦AM is freaking magic! Remember hunting and fishing with dad in remote places and my FM never worked but dadās AM did!
So with that said perhaps you should āReverseā the normal direction (the direction you usually favor) for the rescheduled KOPS session.
Stick with what dad taught you ! Putting up dads antenna that I took down years ago but saved ā¦(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
Due to unforeseen circumstances and for the safety of the crews, The April KOPS will held on Aug 15-16.
But only if your comfortable with that.
Iām comfortable with it and Iād love to come, Ken.
Only problem is theyāre keeping the dang border closed no matter what I want!
You know what the sociopaths who run things say: āNever let a good crisis go to waste.ā
Iād expect West Grove, PA to be a corona virus-free zone, just like my house up here in Toronto.
I hope everybody who arrives at your place has a great time.
Anyway, stay safe, all yāall!
Chuffinā along.
You gents have this cornfield meets thing all wrong. This was simply two Alpha males pushing and shoving hollering āI aināt backing up, your the one that came at the wrong time!! Now move outta my way or Iāll shove ya back to kingdom comeā(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
To support Kenās rescheduled event -
.
The Finger Lakes Live Steamers hosted a very small, unadvertised, Annual Invitational this last weekend. After last yearās 50th held on this same weekend, this was hardly more than a āgood club weekendā in size. We had a few guests and friends from other clubs. I think social distancing was well maintained and some people felt more comfortable with masks. That was allowed and they were treated like the bandits they looked like, but they were still welcome. Ken came and stayed at the Microtel in the Waterloo / Seneca Falls area. Meals were brought in from take out at local restaurants and simple cook outs were held on the property.
.
So with that as an example, I feel that Kenās event can be pulled off with less exposure to āTHE VIRUSā or aliens of an alternate life style late night at Walmart (and that is still very scary). Anyway, those with concerns, please reconsider coming. Those with problems of being in crowds, we can suggestfully socially isolate you and make you feel like lepers amongst your friends. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
.
Jan and I plan to attend, unless one of us feel sick or we have a case of the desire for social isolation. We are staying at the Brandywine KOA, so we are even socially distancing, from others, while we sleep.
Unfortunately I donāt think weāll make it this year. I just had an MRI and an X-Ray done and the doctor says I have severe arthritis in the lumbar region (I always thought that was wine country in France (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif))
Anyway, got appointments with orthopedic and neurosurgeon coming up; Iād like to get their recommendations as soon as I can just to see if I can get rid of the almost constant pain. (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-embarassed.gif)
Sure would like to run with yāall!
Real men wear vests and hats!
Bruce, we all have those pains. You need to drink more Rum. Purely for medicinal reasons.

Ken,
I will not be attending either. I just have too many of the things that you die from if I were to catch it. I had to give up the special Friday night donors event at CRRM for RGS 20 for the same reason. I have had three guys that are local over for an ops session about a month ago, before the resurge. but have not scheduled any more.
AL P.
We are quite fortunate, here in Ottawa, with the Virus, somewhat āUnder controlā, but we canāt take chances. And we wonātā¦
All full operations are cancelled, here on the IPP&W. We do have weekly run sessions for a very limited number of people, and a maintenance day/morning, on Wednesdays. Again with a limit to the number of people taking part.
We have taken the time, this year, without operations; to do major upgrades. Spruce has been completed, and now we are looking at Ironwood, as the next job. Without operations, we can shut down the railroad for several weeks, and not cause problems.
We do recommend WEARING MASKS, and social distancing. Wearing a proper mask shows you care for your friendsā health, and protects them from what you donāt know you might be spreading. Refusing to wear a mask is just plain SELFISH, and portrays a āI donāt give a damā attitudeā¦unless of course a person for some REAL health issue, canāt wear one. Social distancing is VERY important also.
THE VIRUS IS REAL, and it will spread very well, so donāt give it a helping handā¦PLEASE. The threat is to all of us, including YOUā¦
The US/Canadian Border is closed, and will be, well into 2021. Up here, we very much miss all of our American Friends, and care very much for their well being, and survival. Most survive if they contact the Virus, but the after effects can be worse than the initial suffering, and long lastingā¦DON"T TAKE CHANCES, no mater what political masters suggest. We are all in this together.
Fred
Unfortunately Marilyn & I will not be attending this year as well. I hope those that go stay safe and have a good time.
And you are back on my schedule, so hopefully youāll count me in.(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
Hi Ken, Remember this stranger?
If the event is still on, Iām game. Is there a run what ya brung period?
