Well Shawn, considering you’re running mostly (all?) live steam, operating would be at least “twice as interesting”.

No, it’s not impossible, but certainly an “acquired taste”.

Haha very true.

You ready for ski season? Its just around the corner now.

Almost, I have to clear some more “goodies” from the workbench that doubles as waxing station, before I prep all our skiis. But I’m mentally ready.

It’s not just the mags, there are also their videos

There is no escape and resistance is futile.

I am right there with Shawn, and also have moved to mostly live steam operation. Having live steam isnt elitist, with the entry level Ruby around $500 or less if you shop around. I keep subscriptions to Steam in the Garden and Timber Times. I pick up a Narrow Gauge Gazette whenever there is an article that interests me. I prefer a good old magazine for the same reasons posted previously. I always felt the Gazette was a bit elitist in nature. But I love the modeling articles. Online forums will be the death of many magazines. Anymore GR and MRR are just glorified catalogs of the products that are on the market and services available. I might pickup a GR once every month or two to keep current on whats new and if there is an article I like. Mike
