Once, while going under a fence crossing a creek, the top of my head brushed the charge wire while both
my feet were in the water. Not fun, but memorable

So nickel plating is ideal on brass? Biggest question as I don’t run DCC “porus brass” is not ideal?

Nope. If you run a lot it will wear off and expose the brass. I guess LGB didn’t think of that one when they made nickel plated brass track for a while.
