Great Job Ray! That looks awesome!
I really enjoy following the quality of your builds. That is outstanding!
What is your source for the LEDs and bases? I want to to light the gold mill. I have a transformer and have run underground wires 10 feet from the mill… I need to find an underground splice for that and the LEDs.
I got the LEDs from modeltrainsoftware.com. Each LED is wired with a tiny packet of electronics that limits the voltage and provides correct continuity:
Beautiful Ray. I wish I had your talent.
Bob help I keep getting double posts again.
Wow Ray another one of your masterpieces, as always I am very impressed with your modeling abilities. your abilities of

Ray, Fantastic built, and what they all said…
That is really neat Ray!
Masterful job Ray! That is a real beauty!
I just finished the driver and front seat passenger for my Model T railbus. They are patterned after my dad and step-sister. I haven’t installed them in the railbus yet because I still need to make some glasses for my “mini-dad”.

They’re a bit rough but they’ll do. I find that the more of these figures I do, the less patience I have for getting them perfect. I still need to make five more figures for the rear passengers, including a small child that will be on someone’s lap. That should be an interesting challenge.
Those figures look great!
comparing the pics to the figures: extremely well done!
Ray,
The figures look great. What methods do you use to make your own figures?
The figures look great Ray. Im going to start up again a make some figures or at least attempt to.
Jake Smith said:Thanks! I use Premo brand polyclay over an armature made of twisted aluminum foil. I don't have a step-by-step of the process available online, but I did have four part series in Garden Railways, beginning with the December 2009 issue.

I adapted the methods taught by Chris Walas in a tutorial that used to be on myLargeScale.com. Unfortunately his tutorial was lost when they upgraded the forum software a couple years ago.
Thanks Ray. I’m familiar with the twisted aluminum foil method. Obviously you have a lot of talent for the that sort of stuff so it looks a lot better than stuff from other people (myself included).
