I'm Getting Married

Congratulations, Matt Best of everything to you both… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Congratulations, wow a mouseketeer!

May you be Blessed with a long and happy life together.

Congratulations Matt! No more being a single-guy train-nerd!

Thanks all for the kind posts of encouragement, I’m also loving the funny posts as well. Megan told me that “you train guys are nice”

And yes Joe, no more single guy train nerd…now I’ll be a married guy train nerd (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

I’m trying to get Megan more into trains. She likes model trains, but the real ones? Well…I got her to take Amtrak (Southwest Chief) from Fullerton, CA to Lamy, NM (and then drive to the Colorado place outside Durango). The trip was fine but she thinks the roomette on Amtrak is too small. I guess next time we’ll have to save up for a bedroom. She does enjoy riding the Disneyland train, and she liked the Durango & Silverton too. So we’re good on tourist trains (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Good Lord !

Did you guys take note of the architectural details on that unit ! I’m still trying to find the bell cord because I see the bell.

Congratulations Don! Marriage takes work to keep it going. The wife and I have been married also 40 years and it takes work to keep it fresh in today’s world. Never take it for granted.

Congrats. Beautiful lady.

Was the chaperone taking the pics?

Congratulations M & M. You make a nice looking couple. Which train does she get?

Congrats Matt.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif).

Painted some Bachmann gondolas copper for the wedding candy train:

Nice Matt! Is copper one of your wedding colors then?

Yep. Megan likes copper. It’s the main color of the wedding mixed metals color theme.

Here’s a pic of the progressing candy train. I disconnected the motor on the battery powered loco. It still plays sound and you can also light the headlight. I’m going to add white dots on my old LGB caboose (now painted a bright red) to look like Minnie Mouse colors:

Ya’ know if you pick out all those “SMALL” details in another color it will really make that base color of copper “POP” out…Just saying …I’m sure your busy enough already …I’m a huge fan of the metal colors myself especially copper!

Congratulations you two!

My wife and I eloped to Flagstaff, Ariz., in 1976.

We both have our own hobbies, my wife being a serious quilter, but she is active in my train club. She already has made two train quilts for the club and is currently getting ready to make me a train quilt!

Cool. Good that y’all are having fun with this (https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)Enjoy and treasure this time in life.

Finally got some wedding photos back, including pics of the candy train. Many thanks to all the great help from the forum members who contributed a gondola. The train would not have been possible without you.

And yes I’m aware some of the cars are not on the track right and that someone busted the brake wheel railing off the caboose. I probably should have set it up myself, but then again I was a little busy that day (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

And some pics of the wedding. April 7th will always be Megan’s and my special day.

I guess Congratulations are in order then…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Great wedding shots Matt, thanks.

Blessings and good wishes on you both!

Congrats again Matt.
