I'm also pulling the plug this week

Steve, yes it may have started that way, and a discussion about battery power is fine and informative. But why the need to call those of us in the other camp “silly”? I know I am silly sometimes, but lumping us all together as silly just wasn’t necessary. And then the part time battery guys, I guess they are part time silly too, huh?

And before someone gets their shorts in a knot, I am kidding around here, and I intend no harm.

Bill, moods are good. You get to satisfy them either way. I wonder if my wife would agree?

Have fun,

Don

I will be of both battery and track powered camps for a bit. My indoor loop will retain its track powered set up for now. Need to figure how to stuff some batteries in my Lionel gold rush engine as it lives on the overhead loop. I dont want to put the batteries in the open gondola. I am thinking I might be able to stuff them in the fuel bunker at the rear of the cab. That engine doesn’t seem to need much power to run. Its the duration I am worried about. I am already planning upgrades on the RS-3, along with new bright white LED’s in the headlights, sounds, battery and Locolinc control. The Alco FA will get sound first, since some upgrades to the garden line are needed to handle the RS-3. Mike.

ok, short of installing the sound board that is incoming, the install is complete. I did mount the speaker in the fuel tank so its ready. Battery is charging and tomorrow I can program the reciever and link to the transmitter. Mike
