Nice
I think the engines need to be battery powered. When the coupler broke on the rotary I parked the train. When I went back out with the repaired coupler I noticed a bit of ice had formed on the engines wheels. Does this make sense that the electric current causes heat and that melts snow and then it refreezes on the track, the pickup wheels and skates. The skates were crusted with ice by the end of my run.
What do you guys think?
Also if I add weight to the GP38 and the NW2 how much can I add without causing issues with the motors on grades approaching 3% ??
I also made a video so will post that when it is together.
Thanks
My plow set up is battery and I get icing issues too. I think it just goes with the territory. Snow on the rails compressed by the loco creates ice, just like cars do on our roadways.
That makes sense Jon
OK here is the link to the video I shot today of all the action and trouble with plowing snow. Some scenes actually look pretty good even when the rock gets stuck in the rotary and the wedge takes a major dump after hitting a fallen branch.
This video is for you Sean since you didnāt get to play today. LOL

Good job Todd
Branches etc. are why I check the rails the night before if I remember!

A short video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipKPtIyu1XI Itās going to get warmer some day! Sean
Looking good Sean
How many volts is your battery it looks like your blade spins nice and fast.
I was at harbor feight today and they had these tiny little led lights that fit on your finger on clearance for .59 cents so I grabbed 2 to use for potential headlites.
We have some light snow forecast for tonight - maybe an inch. I got home from work before dark and was able to police the track; pick up leaves, clear flange-ways and make sure switches were working. I donāt plan on leaving a train outside but I might cover enough track just outside the escape hatch to fit the plow train on to cool in the morning.
@Todd - Harbor Freight is my favorite place I have almost a dozen of those blue LED magnet/hook work lights and as many of the small aluminum LED flashlights
Todd,
Love the videoā¦Very nice set-up! Does the Cape still have snow? Havenāt been down in a while.
