The same set, perhaps in better condition, just sold for $700 in an on-line-enabled auction, though to an on-site bidder.
However, the seller mentioned by the OP has graciously dropped his price for the same thing to $9,775, + $137.85 shipping.

Shapeways claims on their web site to be able to print stainless steel Rooz, if your arms are long enough and pockets deep enough.
To Bob’s point, here’s a little SW comparison.
A set of flanger parts I made cost $250 in “white, strong & flexible” (the cheapest on SW). But, I could have gotten it in stainless for $1,713.
A g-gauge PCC body is available on SW, in WSF, for $450. That’s the closest thing I could find to a Zephyr. I’ll guess he’s charging 25% profit, so let’s call it $337.50 cost.

The price delta from my flanger parts is 6.85; so a stainless version of the PCC might be (roughly) $2,313.
Another option is to have the WSF part chrome plated. I’ve had that done for a work project, and it turned out well.
[edit] But to Vic’s point, a guy like Mark Dash could use conventional FDM 3D printing, just like he’s done for other locos in his amazing fleet. FDM parts can be chrome plated as well. Not cheap, but possible.
