Does a doxie count?
Just had to say it!

Keep the “hot dog” doggies out of the areas where it snows. Even my little Tibby drags in a heavy snow. Poor little guy.
Congrats on your first open house! They’re always fun. Looks like a real nice layout you’re building there.
We don’t have a problem with ours. She takes one look at snow and heads the other direction,
Doug, Well this weekend we installed the Eaglewings Wye that will connect to the future outdoor railroad to the trainshop/storage tracks. Right now the planning stage has moved to how we deal with a three foot change in elevation whilst holding to a maximum of three percent grade… Bobcat skid steer anyone??
However we will know by midweek if that cold front is actually going to do something in the local mountains.
John
I know, I got some extra firewood cut just in case!
Three foot grade will be a challenge. I have five percent!
Are you thinking about building some switchbacls? That would reduce your grade and add some operations fun.
Well a switchback would be appropriate if I was modeling my favorite railroad, the McCloud River RR. Yeah I think I am going to have some dirt moved around to deal with the slope…its either that or run a trio of SD70’s.
Doug, I was finally able to start installing my McCloud inspired engine house my brother built for me though. Gotta have snow day projects. hopefully this photo posts.

I don’t belong to any clubs at this point. I have been looking, but haven’t found any that meet on the weekend near me in Central PA.
I was a SWS in the Navy.

John, nice engine house.

There will be two (?) clubs at the Trolley Museum in Scranton (next to Steamtown) this weekend (2/19 & 20). Warrior Run and a Live Steam Club will be setup running LS trains. Stop by say hi.
Well John, if you move dirt this weekend you’ll ptobably have to move snow first.
After the ore chute and some other projects are completed I’m building a stamp and processing mill. I’m considering building a switchback for that one.
Yeah Doug you are correct, snow is on the way. I am waiting on another switch to arrive to start laying the Wye. Meanwhile my brother is out pacing me on structure construction.
