I have no patience David …just dig in and post pics of your project! If you get hung up there is plenty of knowledge here to help you along.
BTW …what is your project ? You clearly have something in mind so you could start with some prototype pics or is this a freelance thought?

That skill is usually the result of many attempts and learning what works and what does not. For me, one of the great advantages of Large Scale is I can use my tools (table saw, planer, joiner, band saw, etc.) and a pile of scrap/left over material from other projects. Plus an eye for what ever might fit a given requirement. Remember…‘Practice makes perfect…’ Get out there and build something.
