The KMRR ended the year on a good note but the new year is starting off on a bad one. Got another 1.5 of snow on New Years so no plowing got done since it was a holiday and today another 2+ inches of snow and 50+ MPH winds. Havent been able to run in the last 3 days because of the cold, snow and wind. Good time to get the equipment back in order. This is my backyard today
Looks like prime snowshoeing weather!
Great pics, Shawn! Really beautiful. I’m surprised that the little Rogers could plow as well as it did.
Ray Dunakin said:Thanks the Rogers did very well but once the snow got to 1.5 inches it started to sllip from ice. It helped having the train run from the time the snow started. The snow never really had a chance to pile on the tracks too much. The biggest problem I had was the track iceing. Im very happy with Rogers especially for the price. By the way I love your article on figure making. Good stuff. My next goal is to attemp to make a figure.

Steave should be a great week for snowshoeing and XC skiing.
It was 75F here this afternoon. Lovely day to work on the outdoor layout!

That redwood will stand for many snow shots, I’m so glad those bents found the right home as the look like they belong there!
P.S…if you need anymore you could sneak north and steal a cigar store
Now back to Jon…While you and Ken played with your dollies by the woodstove I did this!
I got to ride along on the CVRR plow today.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqGIwtV5DWgI’m still trying to figure all this out as I’m technologically challenged.
David Russell said:That is very true. I still have to get out and clear the 1-2 ft drifts on my layout. Cant do that until this wind dies down.Alan Lott said:Yeah but the younger crowd that is still "tolerant" to the cold like's to entertain the folk who are older and wise enough to sit by the woodstove and watch what elements the stupid enough are able to endure! ;) Knocking down the drifts http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqGIwtV5DWg
