Pete, I was trying to apply a little reverse humor to the lack of care at a printed, edited magazine, even if it is only a hobby magazine, not the mistakes you and I make around the forum here
John, so was I with the obvious spelling error that some have fits over
Bill, I am curious about why the paper it is printed on is such a problem. It isnt a coffee table edition. the one coffee table magazine I have is $100 dollars a year for 4 issues. I cant imagine the uproar it would cause for a price like that, being how everyone is busy counting pages now.
Greg, why are your comments showing up as only the dreaded black box X
Ahh, the pictures are for https:// … you are probably logged in as http://
Greg
Hmmm I will check but no problems seeing any other pictures or the rather odd video John posted

With a good time warp The Romans could have been so inspired by Mr. Davinci’s art, odd you say? Hmmm(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
Sorry Pete, it came as https:// but I tested it as http://

Was just comparing then and now, use to be 85 to 90 pages and now only 65 (last issue) the paper is so thin that it is hard to turn pages and I realize everyone is trying to save money but don’t sacrifice quality they have already downsized the issues from 6 and year to 4 just hate to see what was a good magazine go to pot, may be you should pick up a copy on “Garden Rail” magazine which is 12 times a year and cost $4.00 an issue or about $40.00 and year subscription so that is $3.00 a copy less than GRW. #1not looking for a “coffee table” edition and # 2 I wouldn’t purchase and magazine for $25.00 an issue, I would by an new train car. Just saying, Bill

Ha ha ha! I wish I understood physics, but, geez, Lorna, I can’t even get four leds to run on a nine-volt battery!
At least Devon no longer has that head problem!
Sometimes I think I need the psychological version of whatever he had installed. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)
I forget, what was this thread about? Oh yeah, TOC’s post which I thought was from THIS year… leading me to think that another huge change had recently happened at GR!!
John C helped me understand the error of my ways… Thanks John. And I’m getting better, right? I was only off by one year this time. Let’s give Nancy and the “editors” a break.
The Romans built aqueducts to carry water, not viaducts, but, hey, it’s only semantics, right?
And Nancy & Co. were off by only 1200 years, seeing as the Romans built their aqueducts around 300 AD and ole’ Leo lived around 1500 AD. It’s only a few centuries, and, after all, it was all so long ago.
And, hey, does it really matter that DaVinci never designed an aqueduct in the first place? After all he had a life-long fascination with all things water, drew up plans for canals in Italy, and he’s famous for all kinds of inventions … so what’s a little aqueduct, viaduct, canal among friends?
Besides, isn’t there a Hannah Montana song called “Nobody’s Perfect” that goes something like: " Everybody makes mistakes, Everybody has those days, One, two, three, four! Everybody makes mistakes, Everybody has those days" ?
Hanna who?

Hi Mr. John Passaro ,
Garden Railways is ONLY a Magazine about TOY TRAINS !
This is not a Medical Journal after all.
Perspective.
Live Steam Locomotive, Electric Motor Driven Steam Locomotive, Exact Scale, Not Anywhere Near Correct Scale … these Are All ONLY TOYS Simply Purchased by Adults for
Adults to Simply PLAY With to De-stress from Adult Life Pressures and to Remissness of their Happy Childhood Train PLAYING Days.
Norman
I hear you, Norman, and 99% of me agrees with you, but there’s still part of me that wants professionals to be professional.
You want professionals to be professional? What are you smoking?
Ok, before anyone gets their shorts in a knot, I am kidding.
Greg, I looked both ways and still a small black x box for your pictures, all others on the thread are coming through just fine, could they be not posted to the freight shed properly? oh well no sense hijacking the thread
I tried chrome (usually I am on firefox), both the https:// and the http:// pictures show… it’s your browser or operating system.
I don’t think the people making extremely realistic models want to think of their work as toys. The hobby can be something different to each person, but one person telling someone else how to enjoy their hobby won’t fly.
A magazine that costs significantly more than the competition should meet higher standards.
Greg
This “Norman” character, has always taken himself too seriously. I sincerely hope he actually enjoys his experience model railroading “His Way”…far be it for any of us mortals, to debate with him…
Are we having fun yet"…while “Playing” with our toys, our way…!!!
Fred Mills
The higher standards were ‘let go’.
Nancy has long been a gardener, thank her for trying.
Until you can entice Manufacturers to buy the multi page spreads it’s SNAFU all over again.(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-undecided.gif)
I ditched GR some time ago…still think NGSL Gazette a great magazine read even though its not LS !!(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-kiss.gif)
