FireFox consistantly crashing on picture sites

Shucks… 'tweren’t nothing…

I am used to things that are seemingly unrelated having incestuous relationships. Computers especially.

If you are ever out in San Diego, I’ve got the cigars! (my connection is Cuban)

Glad it’s fixed…

Regards, Greg

Firefox will not play some videos and insists that it needs the latest version of Flash Player to be installed.
Then it will not let me install it.
I am told to look for a yellow bar on the screen which is simply not there.
Help!!!

Often it’s the simple things. The problem is thinking to try them. I have two XP laptops at work that have so much string wound around the axles you can’t use them for anything. It’s probably just a few offending programs, but I don’t have the patience to look. They will be formatted and a clean XP install made then backed up with Ghost so I won’t have to go through the install more than once.

Tony,
I’m not sure if your serious or if I’m being lured into something :)…I know your out of Yukon and probably testy at this point… When downloading with Firefox I hit the download then go to my tools and click downloads then doubleclick from there…Greg is your man if you two can figure this out without a 20 page thread on programming and the communist red bastards that do it just to mess with us!

Jon,
I remember hammering away on my mothers laptop trying to figure out an issue for hours…then while it sat on my lap watching a football game on TV it dawned on me that it had minimal RAM to begin with and she had it pretty loaded with preacher porn…(she is a retired ordained minister) that’s what I call it to her disgust… so I checked and it was out of memory…Daaahhhh…

Once again thanks guys and Greg for helping me with a stupid oversight.

I’m serious David. What I posted is exactly what it does. Or rather doesn’t do.
I cannot see any yellow bar on the window.

Tony I sometimes get a yellow bar just below my tool bar. It’s usually a pop up blocker notice but with firefox it also shows a download I need

Dave M

Wonder if that “yellow bar” referred to is actually ie’s one that calls for user’s approval to run something called a “scripted window” or the like. Kathy and I have ff and ie both in use on each of 2 computers in the family and as far as we know ie is the only one with ‘yellow bar’.

After that, I’m out of knowledge.

–> So listen to David - whose post came in as I was typing this one ;-D

You figure it out? If not can I ship you a bottle of Yukon?? ;)

I think it might be the “FOX” in Firefox that is the problem with the ban from the new administration is trying to instill. Sorry it had to be said!
