It’s been a crazy summer. I never got the outdoor open. Had it weeded once; but trains were annulled when track was pulled up for masonry work. That track went back in last month, but the bridge at Indian Hill is still inside for repairs. Most of the summer was spent getting ready for, or cleaning up from one event or another. My brother and sister-in-law just departed from their annual visit. Now my attention is on getting my travel trailer and new car set up and operating together. Hook up test was tonight. First road test will be Saturday afternoon to go dump the black tank.
I have some giant chunks of #2 Western Red Cedar 5x5’s that I was planning to mill up, but better yet are some very tight grained old Redwood (or Red Cedar; not sure) carved signs that I can turn into lot of scale lumber, some firewood, and a huge pile of sawdust (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)The weather is perfect for such activities - perhaps I can sneak in an few hours this weekend.
The Brunt Coal delivery trestle will be a model of the EBT’s Orbisonia retail coal delivery trestle for which plans were recently published in the FEBT’s Timber Transfer magazine.
EDIT to say: If I had read my own old posts I’d have remember I already posted about the coal trestle; so you already knew that!
