Finally got my refund had to contact E-Bay by phone…Thanks to Tom White for info…
Hmmm, this almost sounds like Travis’ problem. I finally sold a car radio I’ve had listed for about half a year. Yeah!
The guy pays right away with Paypal. Yeah!
Paypal notifies me, with his address, etc. Yeah!
I print out the Ebay postage - and there’s a different address. Uh oh.
I get a note from him asking me not to send it to that address - it’s his OLD address. He gives me his “new” address. Ummm.
What does Paypal tell us? Send only to the “verified” address or seller won’t have that buyer protection deal.
I get a note from buyer via Ebay. He’s says: “Please cancel the order and refund me if you can’t send it to my new address.” I’ve already decided that I don’t want to insult him by telling him that sending to an unverified address is bad Paypal. I printed out new postage with the new address manually edited in by me. I take box to PO this morning.
This afternoon I get email from Ebay that buyer is sending the item back and wants a refund. He makes it sound like I’ve been reluctant and slow to refund his money. I’m starting to see my 100% good seller rating slip away. Almost 500 auctions over 19 years - 100%, 99, 98, 97, 96…

Kind of a rock and a hard place, he put me.
Jack, no good deed goes unpunished, and; darned if you do and darned if you don’t.
Personally I question the 100% ratings anyway. I have been a service tech for over 20 years, and even when I do everything right, there is still that one person who complain and ding me on a survey. I tend to believe the ratings that are in the 90%-98% range more.
Latest note from customer: “if you sent the item to my address of over 3 years ago, I would have never seen it and I’m sure it never would have made it back to you. Why would I pay for the item and give you a fake address?”
The address is three years old???
Fake address…let’s think about that. Stolen credit card, send it to fake address.
In the words of Bugs Bunny: “What a maroon.”

Yea, I see it now.
