Just as their is a prototype for everything there is also a market for everything.
But like you, I don’t think I want to model it 
In one of my old reference books, 1879, they give a recipe for a “composition for covering boilers”
in other words insulation. One of the main ingredients is cow manure. Now think about that for a second.
Can you imagine what it must have smelled like in the loco cab or boiler room or the ship engine room with
that cooking on the boiler all the time. Whoooo,bad.
