Large Scale Central

ECLSTS 2010

Getting everything ready.
Have the load on the truck down to under 600lbs…
This time we will load the truck only one time, I hope.
It seems we always have to unload the truck to balance out the weight evenly.
This time we weighed each box and loading according to weight.
Heaviest is 100 lbs., that is the one with the metal in it.

If anyone wants free metal, this may be the time to get it at the show.
I don’t know how long we can keep going to shows as old man time is catching up to Lois and me.

Look forward to seeing everyone again.

Yogi,

You’ve got to keep going to the shows. Its tradition. That age thing is way over rated. 100lb. boxes? Okay, you’ve got me beat.

Looks like showers on Friday, sunny and in the 50’s Saturday and Sunday.
Sounds good to me. I’ll be heading that way Thursday.
Ralph

Of COURSE it rains one of my travel days. Always does. I can’t remember an ECLSTS that it didn’t. Whether driving down in the rain, visiting Strassburg in the rain, twice, or just at the show.

Having it rain during the show is just another of many “Traditions”…

Ralph,
I plan to shower every day and sometimes twice. We appreciate you planning to take at least one. Bubble baths are also allowed if that tickles your fancy.

Ric, You are like an Irish Setter I once had. Couldn't keep her out of the water either :D Ralph

Truck loaded and almost got away with loading it once, had to move part of my tool box so I could see.
I need one of those racks you see on the front bumpers for Lois’ “Extras”. Just to hold it down.
One finger steering otherwise.

Made the mistake of telling Lois we had extra room since eliminating two boxes.

Look forward to seeing everyone at the show.

Yogi,
Kinda hoping to talk coroplastic uses and techniques with you at the show.

Yogi Rules!!

Slow at work this morning - So here’s a map of York with points of interest…

  • KEY C - Location of former Starlight Diner D - York Fairground - ECLSTS in Memorial Hall near W. Market Street. E - The Holiday Inn Express - Official Show Hotel of LSC F - The Red Roof In - Low-Lifes like Ralph & I stay there CHEAP!!!

For those looking for a bheer outlet, just go across the main drag from the “Diner”, and up that road a block or so, and turn left…there is a strip mall there with a bheer outlet(Distributor) in it, on the right.

You can look for me there Jon!

You just don’t quit do you??
:frowning:

I had quit until the gnats started buzzing around again which prompted me to swat. Must be the warmer weather. You can't blame a guy for defending himself, can you? Look at the history to see if I am wrong.

The car is getting serviced today. Pack it up tonight and hit the road tomorrow.
9 1/2 hour drive solo. What fun :open_mouth:
Ralph

We are underway. Safe travels to all.

What would you rather drive alone or have Rooster in the seat next to you. I bet your glad your alone now. LOL

So far I have 2 boxes of stuff to bring to sell/horse trade, and my Hanrahan reefer for the drag and brag. Anyone have any last minute requests?

Bring beer? :D

How about your switch building jig? And a demonstration? ( I can bring some ties and rail!)

Now I’ll have to think of what to bring…
