They are great for bash parts, the hoods particularly. I did a bash using the hood of this a Bmann Porter cab on an LGB tender drive unit. And the MDC cab worked great on my Gn15 loco bash. So they ainā€™t all that bad.

I have to agree with Jeff Walls on this one. Most of us are smart enough to know a scam, in our hobby, when we see one. They do raise a smile when you come across one though.

That said, I, like Vic Smith, am always looking for a bargain on items like this. We use them to create our masterpieces. Well, I donā€™t know how masterful they are, but we create something out of someone elseā€™s unwanted item. So when we see a price and description such as the one we see on this item, we get frustrated and annoyed.

I expect threads like this from newbies. I hope to read more interesting stuff from established modelers. I can go to wimp.com or a million other sites to read about stuff like this.
