And back then Labatts tasted better than Budweiser. Hard to find a good Canadian brew in the states now. I see Alexander Keith's now and again - it's pretty good.

Well sorry but for a poor young lad that often had to settle for Acme or Black Label that high-falootin' stuff you drank was way out of our league! It told on my taste buds later too. A national magazine once rated something like 22 different beers for taste and quality. My choice came in dead last! hehe! :)

I wasnt exactly rich either, so I would opt for a single bottle of the good stuff, beat a 6 or 12 pack of the cheap stuff anyday.

When I was a very young man a buddy of mine showed up with a case of Shaffers at our local Field of Drinks (the place us young people would go to share brews and stories), his logic, you get a whole pack for the same $ as a typical 6 pack, we found out why…Yeeeewww! Foul liquid! we ended up abandoning the case where it stood, funnny thing, no one else took it.

I need to add a pic now that the hot dog, ketchup and mustard bottles are added, also made a large roadside “EAT at the DOG” sign.

One of my favorite buildings and places to eat was in Conifer Colorado they had a really great chilli dog.
