Doug,

As I posted over on ‘that other site’, Michael Broggie’s book (Walt Disney’s Railroad Story) has an appendix with all the loco details/specs, and it lists #5 as having a 42" boiler.

Deleted.

Nice to know Pete, But I got my tape measure out and measured it myself, 30.5 at the smokebox. If it was ok Id take a picture and post it but its against Disney policy.

does the boiler look wider than the rail in either of these pictures? (3 foot Narrow Guage Rail)

Not to me.

Not to me, are all the DRR locos about same the size?

The website with the data is incorrect–that locomotive was deemed to be too large, sold to Knott’s Berry Farm and then to Cedar Point, who cut it up into a 2-4-0 with a tender.

I’ll see if I can find anything on the correct DRR 5.

CL Beeson, the 2 Forneys (3,5) (2-4-4T) are similar to each other as are the 2 Americans (1,2) (4-4-0) to each other. Engine 4 (2-4-0) is different than either of these though.

Hopefully you got the ok from Walt, Doug. Hate for you to lose your job over a couple of pictures.

Nice looking workplace…

I got those pics via google Jake, so no worries.

Looks like an LGB Chloe to me?
