Oh, I did have to spend another two dollars for the brass strip I used in the stirrup steps.These are the first four I made.img[img]
Had to do them twice. I used another stirrup as a model for the jig I used to make them. When I had them all bent, drilled, painted and installed, I decided to measure them. They were about 2.5 feet wide, so I rebent them so they were more like 1.5 feet wide. Looks much better! Although the contest is over, I’m thinking I’ll move the bolsters about 1.5 feet toward the ends to give the car a little more balance. Standard gauge trucks come close to the end, not like this. img[img]
