Construction on The Sunny View Line

Pink, Salmon Just words in the Rainbow Shawn’s still jealous

Looks much gooder…

What Ken typeded…

Ralph I will trade one of my switches for that pink switch. I can make a siding using that pink switch and paint some track pink. I can call it the Russel and Marconi siding. :-)_

Told ya he’d be jealous

Get it right Shawn it’s two LL’s just like the snow plow!
Maybe you can use your princess pencils to draw an outline of the switches.
BTW…I haven’t shipped your ASS yet so that’s “MR” Russell for now!

You are starting to sound like my wife ( she is an english teacher). You got it wrong its Ms. Russell. Oh you forgot the period at the end of Mr. LOL

Opened up the inner curve to 5 feet. When I’m finished with the inner main, this will be the tightest curve. The siding for the depot will still have R1 curves. The switches are R1, so I may leave the curves R1.

Rebending these two curves gives me a little more space between the curves. I should be able to fit a couple of buildings there now.

Ralph… nice improvements…

Coming along real nice Ralph I’m really liking the new look

Agreed

Beautiful day Sunday. Made another big improvement using the rail-bender. The track went around an open ditch. I decided to fill the ditch with gravel and straighten the track. Before:

And now:

What a difference. Looking good

You only do this because Joan lent you a rail bender

Now that the inner main line improvements are done, time to turn my attention to the outer main line. Getting the track bent. Road bed to come soon. This section I’m putting down intersects the town. there will be another station here. After leaving town it curves between the two hillsides. After emerging from the valley, it will cross over the inner loop at it’s widest point. Going to be a tunnel, bridge combination.

sounds like a plan, Ralph… looks good…

Looking good, fun to have two separate loops. Funny how a guy can keep finding ways to change his layout, it keeps the hobby interesting. Seeing what others do is inspirational.

Looks good Ralph but why dont I see trains running while you work, Especially if it is a seco Its more fun to work on the RR as the trains pass by.nd loop?

The inside loop has very steep grades. You can't just set the controller at a certain speed and let it run. The outside loop should be level enough to do this when completed. But for now, I usually build on one weekend day and run on the other.

Jerry,
That’s why I like free floating my track. I’m always changing something.
Ralph
