Stop it Hollywood… Shawn has no interest in breaking this down into 8th’s because then we get into the dewey decimal system and when we head into that dark territory we get into 10th’s then Shawns wife gets out her red pen!

Shawn hates the Red Pen!

Is this that new Common Core math?

Ugh I think Ill just let you guys figure out the translations for me. Its much easier that way. Ill just sit back and look pretty in my pink hat. Lol…

Did you read my earlier post? The fudge factor is 2.36. Multiply your 1/48 measurement by 2.36 to get your 1/20.3 measurement.

Haha I got it now. I think the other posts confused me so much that yours just blended in. Thats a much easier way. Thanks

I just blended in? My feelings, if I had any, might be hurt.

steve said “Multiply your 1/48 measurements by a factor of 2.36 to get 1/20.3.” if his math is right, you could take the book to Staples and have them enlarge the drawing 2.36 times or 236% then just use that “full size” drawing. That is the easiest thing to do.

I took my HO plans to Kinko’s and had them enlarge them by 300% so that I had plans to 1:29th scale. So, yea, you can do dat.

Ya’ see Hollywood you done confused Shawn!

This is all your fault!

Shawn,

Scale conversion is easy peasy. Start off with the dimension on the plan set you have. If you plan set is HO, and the dimension you measure is .75 inches (at 12"=1’-0"), then .75 times 87 (HO scale) = 62.25, and 62.25 divided by 20.3 = 3.2148 inches.
