I wonder if any manufacturer will release the double level superliners?

Nope.

I’d expect an Aristo SD9 before any large scale Superliners (not counting Great Trains shorty 1:32 cars). And we all know how unlikely an SD9 is now

There is always a possibility of the CVRR shops spitting some out to sell eventually but I’m sure they won’t come cheap “IF” that happens.

Question for Matt and anyone else …if they were your cars…phase 4 paint scheme or the phase 4b… thoughts?

I’ve always liked phase III. But the current phase IVb is also nice.

Not the biggest fan of IV. Although l’ll never forget the first time I saw an IV Superliner.

I was taking the Southwest Chief back in 1994. It had a brand new Superliner II sleeper; Maryland. So clean and bright compared to the then shabby Superliner I sleepers.

Funny how the refurbished Superliner I sleepers are the clean and bright cars compared to the now shabby Superliner II sleepers.

Personnaly, I think MBTA Purple paint scheme would look nice…

I think that’s a great idea Dad Viewliners in MBTA paint!

Oh you wanted paint info for your Viewliners. I would do phase IVb as it is simple. But IV would go nicely with your Superliners.

The currently under construction Viewliner IIs are being painted in phase III. I like to call it IIIb, because of the red reflective stripe along the bottom. Yep Amtrak is bringing back phase III…at least for the new Viewliners and baggage cars.

Or you could go with the prototype Viewliner phase III paint scheme…but then you would need to model those crazy looking trucks.

your welcome…

Oh yeah - I’m diggin’ that reflective stripe. Talk to your sign buddy, Scott right? Have him get you some High Intensity Reflective Red, White and Blue vinyl. The stuff is awesome. I’ve got some red and white, but we’ve never had blue in stock.

The reflective stuff Amtrak uses is waaayyy different

TOC,Tim,HJ and others …how do you think I’m doing so far ?

So far the proportions are looking good, but I think you need to add a few more ribs or space them better. IMHO

Sometimes, the second try comes out better! Just send me the scratched one when you’re done.

It’s getting there

Looking good.

For variety you could model the Viewliner Diner too.

Great job Dave , looks awsome. What are you using for the sides , sheet plastic ?

Wow!
That is looking great. I need to get busy and start at least one. Very inspiring!!!

Outstanding!
