by pure logic, i would say cablecars. you know, these things, where one goes up, while the other goes down…

Yeah, I see whatcha mean there, Korm. That’s probably what it is - cable cars.

Hi, for the old electronics and ham stuff, are you throwing away tubes, sockets and power transformers? I’m another ham that works on boat anchors, and am always on the lookout for parts. Ham radio is my other hobby, besides model trains. I have a bit of everything up to a couple 3.5 in gauge live steamers, aristo ls mike, and a Ruby.

Nope - I’ve not had any tube based radios (except finals) in a long, long time. I tossed lots of PC era circuit boards and PC power supplies I was hording as parts sources and a lot of used coax - but nothing worth shipping to Vegas (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-smile.gif)

I did find a new home for a set of thee 80’s vintage GE FM mobile radios that have been un-touched for 18 years and just today sold a set of drums I’ve been advertising on and off for 4 years. Now if I can just get my nephew to come pick a recliner I will have enough room to pull out the built-in liquor cabinet that is in the way of my indoor expansion plans.

I bet Rooster just threw those LGB boxes in the garbage can today to prove a point (ya think?). Otherwise, how many guys take a picture of a discarded model train box hanging off the edge of a garbage can? Might as well just torch 'em and make a show out of it.

Nope old hat from ECLSTS York about 7yrs ago I believe.

Oh, sorry. I thought it was an LGB box.

The nice thing about scratch built stuff, no boxes.

Well, I don’t know, not sure about that. I am in the middle of a scratch building project right now and seem to have several boxes full of materials, parts, and built bits and pieces scattered around the work bench(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-embarassed.gif)(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

So just to clarify… it’s not an old hat from ELITISTS York - it’s an LGB box.

I think the Rooster meant to type that it was “an old shot”, but after a few beers his claws tend to hit the wrong keys.

Hey John, No thanks for the memories.

That picture really conjured up old memories of being a kid on the ranch. My Grandmother came to live with us and she was a self sufficient old ranch lady from the wastes of South Dakota. Everything was used and nothing was wasted, so at chicken butchering time, about 3 times a year, every part of the chicken was put to use ,I was use to that, But the feet? Lived on a ranch most of my life but this was a first for my 10 year old self. She would skin the feet and use them for soup stock. You haven’t lived until, as a 10 year old, you walk into the kitchen and smell something wonderful cooking and then look into the kettle and see chicken claws floating around in the boiling water. Dam’d if the soup wasn’t good though(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)

Michael, If this means you’re starting to understand Rooster, we have men in white coats who can help you(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

No. Them men gave up on me a loooong time ago.

I’ll be happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats and they’re coming to take me away Ha Ha they’re coming to take me away!
