Large Scale Central

Ben ran a work train with me, sweeping turnouts and checking rail joints. His grandson, Alex, ran trains, but other than that work train, not really certain how many others Ben was involved in. Hot days, but lots of fun. Yep, lost some more brain cells to the sun. I don’t have many left. This could become serious.

Looks like I missed another good time! Great pictures! :smiley:

Andy;

Some people can take great pictures…I never, ever took a picture that I would subject anyone with. So, I DO NOT TAKE PICTURES, PERIOD.

So, you have never heard me offer to take pictures, and I have never offered to take any.

I do appreciate pictures that others take…

Fred

Andy & Jane,

Thanks for sharing the pictures, looks like a fun event.

Don

I knew I saw a custom built articulated Autocarrier some where!!

Is that a new factory building out there too?

Joe, Yes, I built that Auto-Max over a decade ago, along with an autorack, and 2 TOFC’s… Ran the autorack and tofc’s at Marty’s, many years ago…

New Factory?? The 3 story factory at Overlook is new… Actually, it’s a few Colorado models kits built as one factory… The inside windows are actually one solid piece of plexiglass, which formed the shell for the building, and the wall sections are glued to the plexiglass…

Don, your welcome… We have fun, and it’s all basically ““Operations””… I try and have all kinds of trains for operators, from people that just want to run a train (mostly these are passenger runs), or do a simple operation (a mainline freight), or a long freight local (the Evansville Weatern local), or try a complex operation (like working the town of Overlook, or working the Industrial park)…

Nice looking layout Andy. It looks like everyone had fun. It would be nice to go east some time and visit everyone.

Chuck, thanks… It’s still a work in progress…

You are welcome, anytime…
