We got’em around here, too…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
That cardinal is so beautiful! I would love to see on in person someday. I didn’t realize they’re in Arizona – I always thought they were more of an east coast thing.

Very pretty birds indeed…but so populous here that we really take them for granted. I often tell my wife that if we hardly ever saw them, we’d get a lot more excited about seeing them. Same with the Blue Jay.
The Northern Cardinal IS mostly an eastern bird, but does make it over to Arizona…
This is the time of the year when we start. to see some of the warblers come back. Last week we had this Yellow Rumped Warbler show up in our backyard.
The job site i’m working @ (house demo ) with fields and open area’s …there are some Blue birds …
and @ home I know of at least two pairs of Cardinals nesting on the property …
Western Tanagers are visiting our feeders right now.
A Woodhouse’s Scrub Jay that landed on the deck next to me this morning.
Black-headed Grosbeak.
We have had a pair of Baltimore Orioles hanging around …eating suet and oranges … Humming Birds , cat birds, gold finches , Cardinals … etc … (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)
Same here. Biggest group is the golden finch((yellow) have a couple of dozen or more at a time on the feeders/ground.
Wow, great pics!
On our feeder, we get a steady supply of cardinals (I can’t help but think of the males as flying tomatoes, their red contrasts so much with the background), gold finches, yellow-bellied sapsuckers, and gray squirrels.
This is the time of year when a bunch of warblers come through our area. Caught a shot of this Scarlet Tanager over at Monticello Park in Alexandria last week.
We saw LOTS of neat warblers, but getting pictures is another issue entirely.
