Big Boy schedule

Damn,

I am embarrassed. Some damn emu wrangler from the other half of the planet seems to know more about my home than i do!!! But it does prove what I have proclaimed for years. I do think i live in the best place on earth. Where else can you see the big boy, celebrate Keneviel, eat chic filet, and see a potato museum. I do love idaho. I was once asked if I could live anywhere else in the world where would I live. . . Duh, southern idaho of course.

Ha!
I have been promoting Idaho so much for your trip that I won’t be surprised if the Idaho Government Tourist Commission awards me an honorary Idahoer , Idahoite, Idahonian , Idahooter
…couch potato citizenship.

Ooh, Idaho is quite famous for supersized statues too… Are you going to the Idaho Museum of Clean as well?

Trains Devon!

There’s a big rail yard behind it!

But wait there’s more…

Don’t forget the Potato Motel

I plan to forget that I saw that immediately.

And here I am trying to convince my wife to stay there.

Wow! Quite the romantic yet again Devon! But isn’t that quite risky? Your wife might stop referring to you as “my stud of a husband” to “my spud of a husband”.

But if you’re going to push this idea, consider staying on topic by proposing the idea over a Burger, a side order of waffle fried potatoes, and a bottle of Texas Pete® at your closest Big Boy™. Big Boys have reportedly been around just a bit longer than Big Boys.

But while we’re off topic Devon, keep your eyes peeled for this mobile loaded potato courtesy of your Idaho Potato Commission:

  • Equivalent to 21,562 medium-sized potatoes
    -or-
  • Over a million french fries
You’ll have to google its current position as its on its way to the largest Ketchup bottle in Illinois.

I also had a half baked :potato: idea that you might butter up @Pete_Lassen to take on hauling this hot potato.
…all puns intended. :innocent:
Jokingly, *If it were me, I would wait to suggest this to Pete when they decide to switch hauling this tater to a Tesla Kenworth T630E rig.

I think we have reached a Fork in the Road though, and will need an experienced narrator to help in getting your trip back to topic.

Somehow I think we really need to over-think this but in the meanwhile hand this thread back to Cliff.

Cliff, back to you in the Studio…

Evel was a huge inspiration for my brother and myself. This jump was the main reason my sisters cat attempted flying out the attic window “twice” with a parachute that we made for him.
The cat survived both attempts but our rear ends were sore for awhile after mom busted us the second time around. Furthermore she cut up and threw away our homemade parachute that we spent a lot of time designing and building!

Remember what Yogi Berra said: “When you get to the fork in the road, take it!”

Guys! It’s moving!

David Attenborough might arrive before you Devon!

David Attenborough is fine but if Jim Cantore shows up you should probably turn around and head home or find a safe place.

Near Rock Springs now.

Big Boy is nowhere near Susanville.

Well someone had to update it  and no one has put a tracker on Devon… yet.

You can’t track Devon … not with his tin hat on …

Is this the hat?IMG_8730

OK, I actually have some Big Boy schedule news. We were able to visit him today!

See if you can find Linda in the pic…

Well, all right, this isn’t the 4014, but his brother (sister?) loco, the 4012, in Scranton, PA.

The piping, wiring, mechanisms, everything, seem like she could be fired up at any time.

Nope.

But I do like where this thread yarn is heading.

See if you can find Cliff in the pic…

Great when we have spouses that indulge us in our hobbies!

Ya kill me Bill, hahahaha!!!

And yes indeed. To your point, here’s a smaller analog of the BB pic above, L with the mighty Joe Douglass In Carson City, NV, a few years back.

Its getting close. Need the vacation and this will be a fun way to spend it. Me, my pup, and open road. Plan to car camp just anywhere it looks nice to pull into. Eat mainly camp food. Maybe even take my fly rod and see if I can find a fish or two on the way home. But thats not really a serious concern. As the rest of my vacation will be when I get home and spend the better part of the week fly fishing on the Coeur d’Alene river
