Like the other videos, the titles are sometimes way off, and the “historical” photos often have nothing to do with the subject. But, if you wade through it, there seems to be a lot of useful info here about seeing the BB as it stops or passes.
As much as i would like to see the Big boy , i abhor crowds these days. so i will have to be satisfied with YouTube Videos. I got up close and personal with the 4012 in Bellows falls prepping it for the move to Scranton. i cleaned all the years of garbage out of the dining room (fire box) , as well as other tasks.

Well , Big boy got delayed today when a rather large person that was supposed to have a cab ride lost his handhold and fell about 6-8’ to the ballast. A report I saw said a compression fracture of the spine , but no loss of movement . Glad that wasn’t worse and the dude will recover from the injury but probably not from the humiliation. Feel sorry for him.
Me too however I might have to run up the river north of Harrisburg and catch it that way.
Man that would ruin your day… And I hope he gets a refund on the cab ride, they ain’t cheap!
Some recent (like posted 7 hours ago) videos of BB’s eastward journey. Lots of bridges, water, whistle blows, and nice drone sequences.
At around 4:20 there’s the start of an awesome swing bridge operation, followed by drone vid of BB going through that and the adjacent truss bridges.
This video is from day 9 of the tour, and the “Railfanner” channel has gobs of other vids from the beginning of the trip.
They also have video of the western leg. Their Feather River video is pretty amazing.

The Wife and I saw #4014 this morning in Owego, NY. Now we are at Steamtown and got to see it’s sister engine 4012. Lots to share later including a few videos!

The Big Boy has been putting on quite a show.
We joined up with Debs sister and brother and met up with her south of Rochester NY in Hunt. We decided that we could get a better show away from the large crowds at the scheduled stops.
Friday on our way to Scranton at Owego and Binghamton and today at the viaduct and in Pitton.
What surprised me was how little the BigBoy was actually working, Even up a small grade it seemed to not care about the load the train behind it was providing. Also first time I saw two different diesels on the same train with the same number.
Best show was this afternoon with parallel running in Pitton, The 2102 was really working but the Big Boy hardly put up a sweat.

I didnt know anything about 2102. Otherwise we might have gone down yesterday when we left Scranton.
Apparently 2102 ran out of coal yesterday and had to be rescued by diesels. Today the 2102 train has a pair of diesels in its train. Parallel running shortened in the first area by a car to close to the 4014 track.

The show up at the Reading & Northern was one I’m sorry I missed. I think 2102 puts on a better show than the 4014. Probably because it’s coal fired and pulling a huge load while Big Boy is hardly working most of the time without a lot of oil smoke. To be fair, the second run-by in this video they are pulling a good grade and 4014 appears to be working with quite a bit of smoke!

Excellent. Would have been amazing seeing them thunder by.
After all UP’s hurdles in getting this tour together, it’s satisfying to see the crowds of folks going out of their way to see the 4014 and others.
FWIW I asked ChatPGT to estimate the number of people who will have done so on this tour, and it came up with 1 to 2.3M, with a midrange final estimate of 1.5M. For a cumulative number since 2019 when it was restored to service, the estimate was 4M. That’s some nice face-to-face PR for UP, so I gather it’s been worth their effort, or at least hope so.
