I confess…I was misinformed, and did not do my research, before posting…so, here is my correction to the Toronto Streetcar information:

Toronto Street car, and subway gauge is: 4’ 10, and 7/8th inches (1,495 mm)…so, not Narrow gauge, but Broad Gauge. (Standard gauge is 4’ 8 and 1/2")

That’s why I said “ostensibly” in my initial posting. It was a bit confusing…I somewhere read two different reports on gauge.

So, that’s two that “aren’t” standard gauge.

Wonder who the “technical advisor” on these things was?

Thanks Greg, I totally agree, And remember your not considered a real Model Railroader unless your Old. Or at least that’s what someone posted today, I cant believe they posted that and then wonder why the Hobby is having issues. Ignorance is abound.

Also dont forget unless you operate a switching layout with small curves you aren’t worth a hoot in the Hobby, Forget about that you run on a Oval and can be considered a Trophy layout and you and your friends are only collectors and not considered a model railroader cause you like to watch your trains run. And dont put a church or any other buildings or people on your layout cause that could be considered blasphemy by the so call experts in the Hobby.

I really cant believe the ignorance of some people in the Hobby to post something like that but not surprised.

As is well known 122.5 and /24th scale were mostly dropped because of poor sales, 1/29th is produced by most every manufacture and I believe it has shown to be the strongest selling with all those Great GG-1’s and the Auto racks and SD 70s we can fit on our layouts as larger is becoming the norm.

As is well known one Manufacture always seems to do us wrong but it’s great the other guys are

making a great quality product and dont need to tell tall tales to sell it. Most likely those who misinform go by the waste side shorty but don’t fret, The future of the Hobby is secure as guys like me keep spending and are not on fixed incomes and proclaiming that they know whats best when they dont even support it anymore…

I know that some people that own 3 loco’s and post on manufactures form to be in a click really dont have a clue as to whats going on, but my support of the hobby as well as the future is unwavering. Although you read some post that people make and they surely cant get the info rite and admit to it but still act as if they have a clue…

Just some of my thoughts, without meaning to bash, or haze anyone…I know I and others as the future of Model Railroading are a bunch of great and knowledgeable and truth seeking people, still enjoying the hobby, and sharing with friends old and young… But no phone calls cause this is 2013 not 1960…

Thanks USA Trains for having the largest section of Quality trains in large scale and for the new tank cars you recently made along with all the reruns you did over the last year, Bigboys, Hudsons, streamlined passenger cars, Autoracks that fit perfectly for me.Your inventory and quality trains are what make you the leader in the Hobby and 1/29th and we the Model Railroaders with cash and the room to play say thanks, and for not telling tall tales, unlike a certain another manufacture that may be gone soon.

Your…maybe it should be you are, or you’re…and maybe someone should take the time to read what is said, not what they think bothers them…

I agreed that Charlie plays the game well, by not promoting problems by saying something he might regret later…a wise move for good PR…did anyone read that…?

I see how emotions rule some typing fingers…calm down…no-one is out to get you…this is a friendly bunch…

If a person likes to run roundy-roundy; did anyone suggest that he/she/it, shouldn’t ?

If a religious symbol means a lot to you, did anyone say that it is wrong ?

Big and larger rolling stock is beautiful…the craftsmanship is getting better all the time, but the majority of outdoor model railroaders don’t have the space to accommodate them…that happens to be a fact…if you have the space…GREAT for you…but you are a minority…suck it up sunshine…it’s a fact of life…I and many others envy you…

As you read…I was meaning no harm to anyone, or not meaning to haze or bash anyone…I was just stating observations…you are entitled to your views, and if stated in a calm and non insulting manner, they might be worth enjoying.

Anyone can see why Aristo keeps getting “Bashed/Hazed”…but what’s the point in continuing the game…it’s all for not…no-one is going to win anything…it’s like poor sportsmanship…hitting the oponent when he/she/it.is down and out…

The telephone is still a strong and worthwhile medium for communicating thoughts. It offers people the opportunity to show good feelings, and on the spot thoughts, without hiding behind a phony barrier… being able to communicate over the telephone, or better still in person, is a richness, most missed by those that depend on the internet…it’s a fact, lost on the younger generation, who have trouble even looking at each other, let alone speaking…Sad…but that’s supposed to be progress…Welcome to it, if that’s the life you care to live…I’ll pass, and enjoy the company of others…

You can yell and scream…but a true debate is thought out, with a bit of a care towards grammer and spelling…(I make mistakes too). Reading and understanding helps a bit too…

So…lets just go off and play with our toys, in ways agreeable to ourselves, individually…maybe being able to express thoughts, feeling we have the freedom to do so, as correct, or wrong as we may be…remember your US freedoms, as in your constitution…

I luv how people post things as so called experts then try to spin there way out of it.

Just the facts in writing no emotions for some of the so called experts for along time.

I dont drink the aide like some and I do take it personally when I get ripped off for 10’s of 1000’s of dollars of defective product. And I will continue to reports all defects on sub par products.

Reading today on the revo thread was interesting and no misunderstandings at all. Save it for the lunch crowd.
