OH What the hell…
I find it rather odd that the ‘recent’ Aristo connie has so far failed to make its presence felt over here in Yoorup…
Take it from, there are some SERIOUS US-style layouts in THIS country, let alone mainland Yoorup. I know of one up in Scotland with over 6000 feet of track - ALL Aristo - as are most of the more than two hundred locos.
One dealer down here in rural East Anglia boasted than one of his ‘better’ customers [he was obviously NOT looking in my direction] has a layout that takes one of his LGB/Aster Mikes fifteen minutes to go from one end to the other. I pointed out two things -
the White Pass currently has only one such loco - #73 - in service, and
MY LGB/Aster mike had the same problem on my 80 feet of track, going just as slowly just before it ground to a halt the last time…
For some reason I never got my usual Christmas card since then.

They accused me of being "him", had to convince them A) I wouldn't know how to set up and run a blog, and B) I didn't have time. Then they wanted ME to find him! I would suspect, based upon what I experienced, the chances they shut him down are higher than they didn't.
Nope, I have nothing at all besides wild speculation from the usual gang. Since he was posting less and less for almost nine months before he shut the site, I assume that he just closed it down. Your "Botchman didn't like it, so they put him out of business." sounded like you had some credible evidence.
TOC
They asked me several times, and pointedly if it was TOC too…

Did I say that out loud?
