Large Scale Central

Aristo Bobber Caboose AT&SF

Geez, well this listing is pretty well jinxed…

Geeez…$10 + shipping, anyone? anyone?

Bueller? Bueller?

I sold one last year at York to Jane for $5!

I cannot believe that a cheesy HO Tyco caboose has more value than this.

So be it, if no one is interested in making me even an unreasonable offer, off it goes into the junk box then… maybe I’ll see if I can swap it to truck bogies, maybe then it’ll be worth something.

Take it off the trucks and make it a walk up Hot Dog or Taco Stand!

Don’t keep on Vic, you will have all of us in tears…

Well, you could Boxcab it, and send it out here to SC!

If I had a need for Another 'boose I’d take it, but right now I think I have a surplus…

Cale, the thing is I need another boxcab like I need another caboose. I was hoping to clear some room, I dont have need or room for this on the harbor layout but the hobby seems sooo saturated with stuff like this right now. I sure Hope Polk isnt silly enough to try reintroducing this in the future, its like the Bmann or LGB bobbers, there so plentiful you can’t give them away…

Hmmm boxcab…

you build a boxcab, I’ll give it a home

Hey Vic,

I’ve got a Marx 553 Santa Fe tinplate tank car, just need wheels, axles, couplers & ends on the tank that I’d consider swapping, if you sweeten the pot…

Dave, what you just described …is an empty coke can

:stuck_out_tongue:

Vic, at $10 I almost talked myself into it for kit-bash fodder. But, I have plenty of stuff on the “to do” and “someday” list as it is.

Although the hod dog stand was a good idea. In fact, there is a prototype about 20 miles from here I could use for inspiration.

Good luck with unloading that piece of…um, ah, I mean finding a good home for that beautiful piece of railroad equipment.

I’m actually giving the boxcab a thought, i just don’t have a drive unit.

Could always be a dummy to run with one of your others.

I’ll pay shipping… You said to keep that in mind when I made my offer… I could use another caboose…
Let me know what the least is you will take…

Philip

Vic,

It’s a Vintage tin can!

Even has Santa Fe & Mid States Oil lithographed on it.

:<)

Thanks Philip, message sent

Vi, build a boardwalk near your harbor and turn this into an ice cream stand?

Or, turn it into an ice cream stand and put it up for sale on ebay, and make a bit.

Sorry JD, no room on the layout even if I wanted to. Philip gets it, it will be in the mail by next week.

I have a couple of 0-4-0 drive units that would work nicely, Vic… If’n you might need want one or both…
