Gee I have a static IP adress and I have no prob. If I can figure it out you should be able to master it in mere seconds or less.
I did … on the Acer. Not on the iPAD, there they very cleverly hide the settings and since I’m just not intuitive enough

If I can read between the lines, David has a public static IP, but I’ll bet his local lan is all DHCP.
I’m guessing HJ is running static IPs on his local lan.
Big difference to the individual workstation.

I’ve often had to drop down to a terminal window to issue command line commands in an apple product.
I guess I want to do things my way some times.
For example, don’t get me started on how Apple does wireless lans, with all the AP’s on the same SSID (good) and same channel (idiotic)
