Large Scale Central

Another useless post from Rooster

I have that inexpensive Hampton Bay lamp you used as a part for your project on my porch ceiling. Yours looks WAY better. Nice paint work.

Were the original medallions that color combinations, or did you just use the random paint you already had

Rooster…

As you’d say… Ho Lee…

Amazing work Dude.

Pete,
There were no original medallions as it’s just my pallet. However if the Victorian Era was still alive I believe they would have grasped today’s technology just like they did back in the day in the hood.

that’s something new!
a guy building a victorian dollhouse. in 1:1 scale!

as far, as the pics show, i’m smitten by that house.

btw - does it have a weather fane? a rooster or so?

Dave, nice work on the Victorian decor. Looks just like my Grandma’s home.

Guess who I found hiding among the liquor bottles at Zachary’s Riverview on Jekyll Island:

Do people actually do this?

It’s hard to say.

Back in 2014, the internet was abuzz with stories about teens smoking coffee to get high. Whether or not it was just a sensationalized “news” story or an actual thing can’t be verified.

There are people online claiming to have tried it, but as for actual case studies, zip.

I knew this 35yrs ago?

Tried it once on a dare and it was Folgers coffee packed tightly into a drilled out one hitter made from a French’s SQUEEZE mustard container with a brass straw. Best freaking 10 minute rush of my life but worst headache that lasted 10 hours. The trick is not to squeeze the mustard container!

Just some back in the day in the hood pics playing with my 1:1 Victorian Doll House!..“Thanks Korm for the vivid description and YES I am”… :grinning:

BTW my 1;24 dollhouse is in the last pic…

I think I need to put the jet at 30,000 ft back up. I painted over it during my adventures.

“I got more if anyone is interested and know any of these guys?”
all three. Now I’m sad…

Amazing work, Rooster.

Seems like you’re proceeding into decorative ceiling papering / painting, which was such a passion (for the more wealthy folks) in the day.

If you ever get near Modesto CA, check out the McHenry Mansion, its re-created wall and ceiling papering is jaw-dropping.

Whether you do or don’t, your work is spectacular!!

It is always nice to put a face to a name. You talk to someone on the phone that you have never met and design a face by the voice. They never match.

Yeah, there is NO match for Rooster! :innocent:

I noticed you’re wearing a Pitt sweatshirt. Any connection?

Thank’s Doc, I thought Rooster was the one in white :innocent: :sunglasses:

Ya gotta scroll back a bit Doc.

That’s Zack, in case you don’t recognize him grown up.
