........and yet another GUN massacre

Tim,

It is the unregistered weapons the government worries about. They already know where to go get the other ones.

It’s a bummer that this happens but it’s not the fault of the firearm. It’s the person using it.

Guns won’t be outlawed in America because you’d have to outlaw automobiles, airplanes and all sorts of other stuff that have also been designed to kill people. Cars and planes are a couple of obvious items due to the fact that they are clearly designed to kill people and they are used every day to end the lives of humans. Heck, trains too for that matter. They are all built to move the human body at terminal velocities. And the fact that cars and planes have seat belts is really just an acknowledgment by the manufacturer that the vehicles are in deed deadly to humans. This may sound like a silly response but ask some lawyers or defense teams for the big manufacturers what they think… Look at how many people are killed by automobiles alone on any given day. Now that is a scary statistic. I think we should outlaw vehicles of any type if they can move us at a deadly speed.

Jon.

Cool. I used to model trains. Now I model terminal velocity human body hurling machines. Early narrow gauge models restricted to 21 mph. Its a slow, painful death.

Talk about double-speak ala 1984. How can the government buy back guns it never owned in the first place? Just saying.
David, our government has amnesties to allow people to hand in firearms with no questions asked. The intent is to reduce the number of unregistered weapons in the environment. Even you would have to agree with reducing the number of unregistered firearms in the community. This would take the heat off legal gun-owners who get bad press whenever massacres or home invasions occur.
Sorry but I can not relate to "registered" guns. We do not have gun registration, where I live. Reducing the number of criminals back out on the streets after only serving 25% of their sentence I'm for.

Look at how many people die from mistakes in hospital every year.

If you include pedestrians, that would be about 5mph.

David, you are required to register your car or truck or motorcycle. You are required to register if you wish to vote. What is the problem with registering a firearm? Oh, I know, the government knows how many cars you own, so they will know the extent of your arsenal of weapons. We would not want a tyrannical government knowing how well you can defend yourself against any military action your government may take against you. You do not live in Waco, Texas do you. You are extremely paranoid and thus hardly a stable person to own a slingshot, let alone only one firearm. Maybe carry a water pistol or a 'cocked' finger under your coat to still keep that hardon going.

Tim,

If you think David is paranoid, you don’t understand the United States of America.

Look, I can understand you are too much of a wimpy, girly-man to even touch an eeevvvill gun. It might even jump up off the counter top and shoot you all by itself. Maybe I do get a woody from firing a fully automatic machine gun, but I do not expect you to understand, being the eunuch you are.

P.S. I can own as many automobiles as I want without registering them here in the Land Of The Free And Home Of The Brave.

Oh man. You know, we are all friends here right? And we all feel comfortable enough to make jabs at each others opinions and positions on a unlimited amount of subjects right? Ya, but, lets not talk about the number of people killed by hospitals, pharmacy's and doctors! Jeesh, just thinking about it creeps the living crap out of me! In my mind no matter what is wrong with you when you go in, at best you have a 50/50 chance of not being killed by them. Not good odds in my book!

Jon.

Jon,

My Dad’s statement was always “stay away from those hospitals, they’re full of sick people”. Twice he went there feeling perfectly healthy and came out cut open, stitched up and feeling like Pelosi. Last time he went in, he didn’t make it out alive. Lousy place to die.

Not me, instead of dieing in a hospital my plan is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting “…holy sh*t …what a ride!”

David,
if you lived in a country that espoused the rights of human beings, from all races, to live free of tyranny and oppression from those around them, then maybe you would have a deeper understanding of what it means to be a civilised human being. We have people who migrate here from very violent countries, under civil/religious war and accept the freedom here, that is not available under their own flag. They do not see the need to arm themselves or protect themselves. However, like all peace abiding citizens, if their freedom is impacted then they will rise to oppose those who attempt to invade them. Do not mistake love of peace as a sign of being a coward. The surefire coward is the paranoid who feels the need to be able to defend himself just going to the shops.

SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS – Police said they followed a trail of blood to capture a city man who was shot by a convenience store clerk during a botched robbery attempt yesterday morning.

The clerk had been pistol-whipped during the crime, and had a cut to his head, said Detective Bureau Capt. Robert T. McFarlin. The clerk, a 44-year-old native of Iraq, will not be charged, he said.

As described by police, two males entered Wheeler’s convenience store at 597 Dickinson St. around 11:20 a.m. One had a stun gun and the other a semi-automatic handgun. A struggle ensued, and the clerk took the handgun and shot one of the suspects in the leg.

Police followed the blood and found Abraham Ramos, 20, of 227 White St., in a garage at 146 Draper St., McFarlin said. He was taken to Baystate Medical Center where he was being treated for a gunshot wound to the leg.

FATHER PROTECTS DAUGHTER

CANUTILLO, TEXAS – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office investigated a shooting in Canutillo Saturday morning.

It happened on the 800 block of Anthony Road early Saturday morning, when deputies said a 21-year-old man attempted to cause damage or commit a theft. The woman who lived in the home called her father, who lives a few houses away.

He showed up with a handgun and confronted the 21-year-old outside. Deputies said the father fired a warning shot first, and fired at the man when the 21-year-old charged after him.

The 21-year-old was hit in the chest. He was taken to the hospital.

Deputies have not released the names of anyone involved. They said charges are pending.

We have more. More rights, more immigrants. Ralph

Yes, but if you attempt to drive them on a registered road then you are breaking the law. You still have not told me why you oppose gun registration. Big Brother watching you is he?

Wrong. OUR road are free. I do not need my gov'mint's permission to travel.

P.S. Why register guns. Criminals will not comply, as a matter of law, they would not be required to comply as it would be a violation of their Fifth Amendment Right of self-incrimination. So to what purpose would a list serve.

David,
to travel on your roads, you must have the car registered. Look at the front and back of most cars on the road. These are termed either ‘number plates’ or registration plates. This denotes the car is ‘registered’. Hence cars need to be registered to be used on public roads. I cannot make it any simpler for you to understand.
