My name is Sparky Joe and I am a ferroequinologist! (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-undecided.gif)(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

That one got me good, Joe. I had to search my Jesuit-trained Latin memory banks to figure it out. Iron + Horse…and I still didn’t get it right away. Ha.

Haha John. Google would have been easier and faster! (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-innocent.gif)

Vic, There was some stuff I wanted to have back. and that is part of what started my buying spree in HO. After moving back and fourth across the country, I lost so much in the moves. I finally have the Tyco stuff I had as a kid, and its set up to run on DCC. So I can play with my childhood toys again. I know the NMRA guys don’t like it, but hey, I paid my dues, built a module, and most times I am the only one running trains. So they can just suck it up that the train running is a puke green, Tyco, Penn Central, F7 with horn hook couplers. I also have so many kit-bash ideas (shades of Devon), that I really don’t want to let go of too much stuff. I will need some of it for the eventual builds I plan on doing.

So I am a train addict. So what? I finally have a little bit of spending money, thanks to my new and better job. I am paying all of my bills on time. My credit card balance is paid off every payday, and I have a few dollars in savings. Not much, but a few. I am not hurting anyone, and I am not spending my money on illicit agricultural and chemical products. So, yes, my name is Dave, and I am a model train addict.

It is not an addiction until you stop buying food to buy more trains.

Well. . . I am not that bad but I have looked up from my bench to find it is dark and then look at a clock and realize its past my bed time and that I had gone down stairs first thing after waking up and then thinking gee I haven’t eaten all day.

Around here, we call that bliss. And how many of us, me included, wouldn’t be better off skipping a meal or two?

I used to do that with my N gauge monster. And sometimes I get into that zone with large scale projects, but I haven’t done that in a while.

Now I just have to deal with the backlash from my mom when all these boxes start showing up at the house. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-frown.gif)
